FNP Preceptor is an independent service that helps family nurse practitioner students at any university search for possible preceptors and primary care sites across the lifespan. We organize candidate information for program review, but the school decides whether every clinician and setting are eligible.

We are not a university. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or operated by any university or certification body, and we do not act as the agent of any school. References to programs, requirements, accreditors, and standards are for identification and descriptive purposes only and do not imply any relationship. Program details on this site reflect publicly available information and the 2022 NTF Standards for Quality NP Education and can change; the authoritative source for your requirements is your own program's materials and your Nursing Student Handbook.

We work hard to secure approvable preceptors and sites, but there are important limits on what we can promise, and we want them stated clearly:

• We do not approve placements. Final approval of any preceptor or site rests solely with your university.
• We do not guarantee a specific preceptor, site, hours, certification, licensure, or program outcomes. Declines and delays are part of any real placement search, especially for the scarce pediatric and women's-health rotations.
• Nothing we offer is a tuition refund or money-back guarantee of any kind, and we make no promise about your academic results.
• Program information is provided as-is for general guidance, and you are responsible for confirming your specific requirements with your school.

Our fee, described on the cost page, is for our sourcing, scope-checking, and approval-preparation work. It is never a payment to a preceptor, who is a volunteer, and you pay only once your preceptor and approved site are confirmed.
